However, both were accompanied by the promise of a further £4000 worth of services and parts. By 1947 the British Motor Racing Research Trust estimated that the project would require £50 000 per year for five years. The BRM organization was revised in July 1947 when the British Motor Racing Research Trust was formed. In the spirit of wartime Britain a national appeal had been launched. Thus, the main objective of the Trust was to handle the collection of monies from subscriptions, which were incoming from companies and the public.
