Application of MBDS alone (Fig. 8) showed less depressing effect upon soybean growth than dexon (Fig. 5) after 26 days. No reduction in dry weight was observed up to 100 ppm MBDS, but at 200 ppm the dry weight was 82% of control plants. MBDS had no effect upon plant height (Table 1).
